Multiple taskbars behind each other after 8.1 update 2?

This feels like it started happening after the latest update, but I've noticed that I have what looks like two taskbars, one behind the other, now. Nothing I do fixes it - I have to reboot the machine. Here's a screenshot where I pulled one of them up higher to easily see the difference.

What's going on?! Is there a quick fix? Known issue? Thanks.

Yes there are two sets of bars for Windows 8. One is for Metro/Start Screen. The other is for the Desktop. Only time you do not see both. Is if you are using a third party utility like Classic Shell or Start8, to only use Desktop mode.

Well, I'm not using any of those. I removed the KB update (the one MS yanked) the other thread mentioned and I too no longer see it in Windows Update. I'll keep an eye on it.

Right-click on the taskbar. If it is locked, unlock it. Grab the top and drag it down until it is only one icon high. You may have to adjust the dotted vertical adjustment bars to get the icons back where you want them.

Here's mine with the Taskbar readjusted to show more than one row.
