Need Non-Corrupted Windows 8 Directory Structure

Could someone please send me a non-corrupted Windows 8 directory structure?

Open a command prompt, go to c:/, type "tree | clip" (wait a minute for the prompt to come back), open a new notepad file, press Ctrl-V, save the file, and e-mail it to me at johnhardy926 a.t. yahoo com. Thanks.

I was in a file explorer window, and accidentally moved a folder on the left hand tree up into another folder.
(I HATE tapping. I didn't mean to do a button press.) I then lost the desktop background image. It's black now, but everything else seems okay. I can't figure out which directory got moved, as it happened so fast. The background image is right where it should be, in the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Device Stage

I'm not going to dare turn this computer off like this. Who knows what might happen at boot up.

I'll have to compare this with a non-corrupted file structure listing. I'll use a compare utility on the two files, which will hopefully reveal the problem within a few minutes of reading it.

Thanks.

Well, I guess I'm not going to get a reply, as this post is still not listed on the new posts page, 15 minutes later. Another new post is showing up from this forum - it's only 5 minutes old. Hmmm....

What do you mean by non corrupted? Do you mean unmodified, like right after an install?

I corrupted the directory structure. Modified is fine.
A directory structure from a 2 year old Windows 8 system would work fine.

Sorry, but that shows too much about my specific setup. I'd have to do some heavy editing before I'd feel comfortable giving that info out.

Nobody on superuser will either. I guess I'm just going to reboot and hope it starts up okay.

Thanks, but no.

From a Windows 8 system (not 8.1)

Start -> Run -> cmd.exe
(type) cd c:\ (press enter)
(type) tree | clip (press enter and wait for the prompt to come back)
(The "|", the pipe symbol, is Shift-\ on my keyboard)

Start -> Programs -> Windows Accessories -> Notepad
Ctrl-V (that pasts the tree structure)
Save as tree.txt

Past tree.txt as a reply here, or you can e-mail it to me at johnhardy926 a.t. yahoo com
(I wouldn't post it here. It's going to be very long, and it will show what programs you have installed.)

(Maybe someone will anonymously e-mail me one... So they don't have to worry about me knowing what applications they have installed.)

That would be really great.
