is there a way to disable the bottom right corner charms bar gesture? i can disable the hint no problem with DisableCharmsHint. however moving the mouse up the right side of the screen (starting from the bottom right corner) will still open the charms bar.

DisableTRCorner will both disable the top right charms hint AND the "gesture". Moving the mouse down the right side of the screen will not open the charms bar.

i cant seem to find a way to do the same for the bottom right. i dont understand why microsoft couldnt have added a "DisableBRCorner" registry entry that functions the same as DisableTRCorner.

i should have mentioned that i did actually find that already. is that really the only known way to do it? having to keep a program running just to disable the bottom right corner gesture isnt ideal. i was hoping there was some registry / group policy tweak.

The Charms Bar is the only way to access some settings. Most users need at least one way to access it. It looks like that's the one way they locked in. The rumor is that the Charms bar will be history in Windows 9. I would say any changes to functionality in Windows 8 are iffy at best. I know, not the answer you were looking for.

That will work, but could be a pain if your on a tablet with no physical keyboard. Still, an on or off option would be nice for that corner. Once I turned the edge swipe option off I hardly ever see it when I don't want it.
