Hello, last night, I was using my computer fine, playing a few League of Legends games before I turned off my PC and went to bed. This morning, I tried to turn on my computer and lo and behold, I encountered Windows 8.1 trying to "automatically repair" and it wouldn't boot me to the desktop. I have tried most of the options on the options menu that pops up after automatic repair "fails" and they don't work. I can't restore to a previous restoration point and I cannot boot into safe mode as well.
From what I have gathered online, one option that I didn't try was to use a Windows 8.1 installation disc to try to fix this problem. Unfortunately, on my laptop, the OS that was installed was Windows 7 and through some (ahem, illegal means), I upgraded to Windows 8.1. Therefore, this means I do not have any Windows 8.1 installation discs. Is there anyway I can fix this without a disc? This is really frustrating as my laptop is not functioning on me one week before I start classes again.
Any kind of response of help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I'm not particularly computer savvy and a lot of terms I ran into online such as booting, BIOS is unfamiliar to me so explaining this process in layman terms as much as possible would be great.
