I discovered the place where the magnet should be touching:

But I don't know where the sensor is or something like that...

Power State Management is showing as turned off. That can be an issue. Open up Power Management, go to Balanced and choose Advanced Settings. They adjust each setting for when to turn off display, sleep, turn of Hibernate. Then open up a Command window as administrator and enter powercfg /hibernate off.

See this about changing the S1 & S2 sleep states. How do I change Windows 7 sleep state settings(S3 to S1)? Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums Some of those can be controlled from the bios settings on certain computers.

As for the sensor, it is driver controlled through AHCI, which controls the bios and CPU. AHCI works as a man in the middle between the bios & CPU, GPU, devices as a manager.

If this laptop is only 6 months old and still under warranty, I wouldn't be messing around inside it.

    Hi,

I changed the sleep state fro S3 to S1, but again it is not working.

I know I have warranty, but I need the laptop daily, so I can not miss it.

    Thanks

You may want to go to ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- and enter your exact serial number. You may have to go to the Dutch site for Asus. The latest Bios update is 7/24/14. It may fix it. There may be an update to the AHCI driver also.

If that does not fix it. Try contacting Asus about possible repair.

Backup your data and do a factory recovery. If it still doesn't work its most likely a hardware issue. It was working and now its not so something happened? If it was a Windows update that did it the factory recovery should fix it. I'd try resetting the BIOS to defaults before I'd resort to flashing it. If it never worked a BIOS update may fix it but it was working and then quit.
