The directory name is invalid - how to proceed?

So recently I've been uploading my physical DVD's to my system to keep as backup and to watch here and there. In doing so I can access some of them, but others it says 'The directory name is invalid." They are all in the same directory (F:/Movies) and each is named the same (Name (year).)

I can however view these movies using XBMC, I just cant view, edit, move, rename or copy these from file explorer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Here is an example

To me it looks like a folder is created for each movie. Note the backslashes. Also I would use Bulk Rename Utility to use underscores instead of parens.
Like MovieName_2004.mkv

Also noticed there is a space before the word Mean. Don't think that is allowed.

I think it's giving the error Directory Invalid because somehow the file naming routine has managed to put an extra backslash. There's only one folder. But the path indicates a subfolder. Or I'm misreading everything.

Maybe the OP can clarify.
How about a screen shot of the folder full of files?

Yes, there is an extra space in front of the folder: " Mean Girls (2004)" and yes, it is allowed. However, to get to the folder, you would have to use: cd F:\Movies\" Mean Girls (2004)" to include the space.

EDIT: Just rename " Mean Girls (2004)" to "Mean Girls (2004)" then everything is OK.

EDIT1: If you use any space(s) to create a folder then you will have to use the quotes, so I suggest to create the folder without any space(s). Use underscore as suggested by MilesHead
