I see the App for OneDrive on the W8.1.1 Start Window but I don't see any "Select Preferences" in a drop down menu that is referred to in a CloudDock article "7 OneDrive Tricks You Didn't Know About". Can I/Do I need to install the Desktop App in addition to the W8.1.1 App shown on the Start Screen? The OneDrive Desktop Help page says all I get is the ability to work share for Office if I install the Desktop App in W8.1! Is the Select Preferences Obsolete with W8.1.1? Slightly confused.
Yes, I found those settings. They are all on or off. This is the Article I found Googling stuff on OneDrive. I suspect this is referring to the OneDrive App for W7 since I can't find anything that lets me do what Trick 1 is showing?!
#1 at the link you posted is only in the OneDrive desktop app. It wouldn't apply to Windows 8.1 since OneDrive is fully integrated and doesn't (can't) use the OneDrive desktop app.
However, you can basically do the same thing by selecting what you want to make "available online only" and "available offline".
