Stray files—is it safe to remove them

I'm currently using windows 8.1 on an Intel DH61WW mobo.
I have these 8 files located in 3 spots on my hard drive.
    EfiInvoker.dll, EfiInvoker64.dll , itkEfiVar.dll , itkEfiVar64.dll , invoker.sys , invoker64.sys , itkvar.sys , itkvar64.sys
On C drive outside of any folder on May 20 , on Ron's desktop on May 27 and in Ron's downloads on May 28.

I'd like to delete them if they're not necessary.
I Googled them but cannot get straight information because it might be malware.
I'm believing they are legitimate files from Intel because it was around that time period that I was upgrading BIOS on my motherboard to accommodate a 3rd generation i7 CPU from a 1st generation intel P G840.

I'm thinking that these files are part of the Intel scanner to see which updates my DH61WW needed. Or possibly the BIOS exe file I downloaded.

The only Intel programs I have in my Add/Remove programs is: Intel Network Connections on May 28 & Intel Engine Management Components on May 27.

As always, your help is appreciated it.

Thanks MilesAhead but I'm still not clear about removing them or not to.
It does seem to be a part of the Intel Integrator Assistant used to update the BIOS.
It seems that they should be delectable because the integrating is done but I definitely .don't want to mess up my BIOS

From the very bottom of that Read me text link

I've never found any quick reliable way to tell what DLLs are used by what. Unless the uninstall removes DLLs without asking I just leave them on. It's not like the old days when my HD was 30 MB. Perhaps what you can do is rename them and wait a week. If nothing complains then you might take a chance and delete them.

31470 It doesn't even seem to have a name. I tried disabling the "status bar", but that wasn't it (that was another bar that was just over this one). It looks ugly and I want to get rid of it. I'm totally desperate (hence my nickname). Thanks.
