    delete files permanently

I have a windows 8 running laptop. I want to send my laptop to the service center as it got some technical issues.i have formatted my hard disk and erased everything as i want to make sure that the service center guys do not recover any of the files from my system using any recovery softwares. So for that i have filled my entire harddisk with some junk files so that there is no more of my deleted datas on my hard disk sector. Is this a foolproof method?

When you delete file(s) from HD. Windows just marks those areas to be available, the data is still there. To copy some junk files as you did, it actually over-write some areas, not all.

You can use this tool to low level format, which fill every spot on the HD with 0's:

Yes. By doing this, the HD is like a brand new disk as when you first bought.

If you want to permanently delete just files, this portable, one file, free program should be enough Download Blank And Secure - MajorGeeks but if you have personal data, used passwords etc. for banking or in the network etc. it would be best to wipe whole disk Windows and programs can keep permanently in some hidden files and in places not reachable easily or might not even know about them.
PS. Choose to download from Authors site.
