    I couldn’t figure out how to obtain the format below on the task bar

    dd/MM/YYYY

    Example: 16/12/2014

    Open the Control Panel - region.
    Under the "laguage preferences" you can choose different date and time formats.

The Modified date of files in Windows Explorer is shown as Today - Yesterday - Friday ..... and if it's older than a week as a date 13/02/2013. Is there any way to always show the modified column as date and not day-of-week? thank you.
Solved Calendar app time/date format in Software and Apps
Using Windows 8 Pro (RTM) Seems like the calendar app does not obey the language settings. W8 display language is English (US I think) and that is the way I want it even if I want day names and time format as choosen in language settings. Hints ?
