What kind of CDs do should I use for Rescue Disks?

Hello, I want to make some bootable Antivirus CDs, and I would like to know what kind of CDs to use. There are lots of them, which one is the most reliable, and cheapest? I have no experience with disks, because in the past I put it all on USB drives, but I would like to start using some disks.

In terms of reliability, stay with the USBs. They are more stable and quicker.

Thanks. But if you had to use a disk, which one would you use? CD? DVD? I have no idea what kind will work, etc. I will most likely stay with USB after reading that, but I still want the info on the disks.

I would use DVD+/-R because of it storage capacity.

Okay thanks. The reason why I wanted to get some DVDs is because I can buy them in bulk. I can get 100 DVD R+ with 4.7 GB each for $25. I don't think I could get USBs with that kind of deal.

Good deal. You can only write once and cannot reuse it.

I used to use Nero to burn multisession CDs & DVDs.

Oh, I did not know you could only write once! This is the info I need, never used DVDs. What else should I know? Still, I probably will only need to write once, i'll burn one iso on each one.

Yes, I prefer USBs. Its just that DVDs are seeming more organized for me now. I can have a separate disk for each bootable CD in its own labeled case on the shelf. Can't do that with USBs.
