Windows 8 Grey Screen?

Hi.

Me and my sister both have windows 8.1 laptops. They are quite new. My sisters computer crashed after playing roblox and getting 'locked' out of the server. As usual it made her computer freak but this time it seemed to be somehow broken. She restarted it and then it took her at least 20 muinites to log on. She could not move her mouse. She turned it off and came back 2 mins later. When she turned it on it took 10 mins loading, then it turned out to have a grey screen. She could not log in at all. She held the power button and it automatic repaired. It offered a system restore witch did not help and lead to a horrible grey screen again..

I do not know how to fix it, it keeps on doing that in a cycle while we try to fix it.

You may have to do a system recovery or refresh. Try hitting F8 as soon as it boots. What make model of laptop?

Can't rule out bad hardware either especially being new. May have gotten a lemon.
