Photo Import not defaulting to Camera Roll

Hi everyone, I'm a new Windows 8.1 user after years on a Mac. I'm attempting to have all my photo imports automatically go to my Onedrive account. My understanding is Onedrive automatically syncs to the Camera Roll folder.

Unfortunately my photos from my Fuji Coolpix camera don't import to the Camera Roll. They import to the Photos area, but outside of this folder. I've googled and looked for settings to fix this, as I really want my photos to live in One Drive.

Any help for this rookie is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, they photos would have to be in the Camera Roll folder for them to automatically be imported to OneDrive.

Are you able to change the location of where the camera imports the images to? If not, I suppose that you could manually copy or move them into the Camera Roll folder after importing them.

This is why I'm asking for help. I don't want to import the photos, then have to manually copy and paste them to the camera roll in order for them to go to the OneDrive. Most of what I've read makes it sound like the photos should go there automatically. Can anyone else help me figure out how to make the photos import automatically to Camera Roll?

When you have the camera connected, check in Devices and Printers (Control Panel), and check the camera's properties to see if you may have an option to change the default location to where it imports the images to.

Thanks for your help, but I don't see anything. I'm guessing there is no way to change this setting in Windows? Seems very odd to me...

In that case, you could change the AutoPlay settings for the camera to say Open device to view files (File Explorer) to make it easy to copy the images you want from the camera into the Cameral Roll folder.
