    Laptop Keeps Switching off

Hi, my HP laptop keeps turning itself off. It doesn't shut down, just turns off. It isn't running out of charge according to the thing(cant think of what to call it) that shows me how much charge it has left, the charger does have to be plugged in for it to turn on again.
It also doesn't seem to be overheating.
    No warning messages or anything.

When I load back it up again it takes a lot longer than usual, it's not updating.

For a bit more annoyance when it does load up Google Chrome wont start until I restart.

Not so bad if it breaks now as the warranty only has a few months left.

Most likely it is overheating. Need model number and how old the unit is.

    It's a HP Pavilion G6-2356sa and it's about 1 and a half years old.

They will not have a warranty. Most are 90 days only to a year. It would be cheaper at this point to just replace it with a new unit, since OEM's are deeply slashing prices.

I would first check warranty status at HP Pavilion g6-2356sa Notebook PC support HP Pavilion g6-2356sa Notebook PC | HP® Support If it is determined not manufacturer defect. They can say no on warranty work or replacement. Had that happen with Toshiba on two laptops that had bad keyboards. The second one took over a month to get the replacement from China. They either got damaged ones, or even worse was that someone repackaged a damaged keyboard in a box and marked as new, before placing back in the parts system at the repair facility.

It's the shop I bought it from that offers the two year warranty, they've been very good with their warranty in the past. They replaced my dad's iPad when it was well over a year old without a problem.
