Questions about Screenshot & WSR features

    Hi.

Now that I've changed the location where windows eight screenshots are saved and stored, I would like to reset my screenshot tally back to zero. Is this possible?

Also, is it possible to save screenshots to a different file extension?

I'm just beginning to explore Windows Speech Recognition. Is it possible to enlarge the text area in the dictation scratchpad, as well as the font size in the dictation scratchpad?

    I appreciate your help.

    Thank you.

    Hello msmith,

Yes, you could still reset the screenshot counter after moving the default location of the Screenshots folder.

I'm afraid that I don't know about WSR though.

    Hello, Brink.

Thanks for your quick reply. Your advice for resetting the screenshot counter worked well. I'm not sure why I didn't find this procedure when I searched before posting here. Apparently I need to improve my PC language, especially if I am going to be using WSR.

I am guessing Windows only allows screenshots to be created as a .png file?

    Thanks again.

    You're most welcome.

The built-in screenshots feature only creates them as a .png file, but you can open the .png file with the included mspaint.exe (Paint) and save as any file type you like instead.

If you like, you could also use the method below to take screenshots and use Paint to save them.
