How to remove blue rectangle focus

hello, can someone help me fix this annoying problem.



suddenly the blue rectangle won't disappear even if i refresh.. the folder is still in focus.. how do i remove that?! and what's the cause? your help will be much appreciated.

Click the View tab and uncheck the Item Check Box. Close the screen and reopen it, it should be gone.

sir/mam the item check box is already unchecked..

Hello Juvil, and welcome to Eight Forums.

The blue rectangle is to help indicate the last item selected in the folder window when focus is lost. Otherwise it would be selected with the solid transparent blue rectangle when it's in focus.

The only way that I know of to get rid of it is to back out of the folder, then go back to the folder in the navigation pane without selecting anything in the folder.

But i used to be able to get rid of it by refreshing the windows explorer, now it's stuck.

Does this blue rectangle stay on anything else you click on?

It works that way for me as well. Why is this a problem, it's doing what it's supposed to do.

Works the same in Vista, Windows 7 and 8/8.1.

Because it wasn't like that before. Yes it highlights, but when i click on a white space or refresh the windows explorer it used to go away. I just want to get rid of it, i find it annoying. I also have no idea what caused it. It just happened.

No sir/mam, only in the windows explorer.

Thank you for the video, but it still doesn't fix it. The blue rectangle is still there if i click on a folder and refresh. It used to disappear when i do that.

Is there a registry tweak to get rid of this? I also want to know what caused it. It really just happened.
