Lost folders (Documents etc) after moving to second HD.

I was going to help my girlfriend moving several folders (Document, Pictures, Music etc) to her second HD.

I chose properties, local but forget to create a new folder in second HD.

Instead of moving Documents to D:\Documents I moved it to D:\
The same happened to Pictures, Music, Movies etc.

In user I don't see the folders anymore, just a bunch of D:\

I appreciate any help. Thanks a lot.

Hello Boppo, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You can use OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to restore the default location of the user folders.

User Folders - Restore Default Location - Windows 7 Help Forums

Afterwards, you might consider this below to use libraries instead of moving the user folders. This way you will not have to worry about any potential issues that come with moving user folder locations.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Hi again.
In the second HDD I now have my folders Pictures, Documents, Music etc. When entering in 2nd HDD D each folder contains what I want. Great.

But when I look in the file explorer - Library. There are 4 icons: Documents, Pictures, Music and Videos. Each of these folders contains the same thing: Documents, Pictures, Downloads, Favorites, Links etc.

WTF? Why is it like this?

A library will include any folder you added to it. By default, libraries will include your default user folders.

If you like, you can remove any folder that you do not want to be included in the library.
