Windows not booting

All of a sudden, after installing some software updates, Ubuntu tells me to restart. I restart, load Ubuntu perfectly, then decide I want to use Windows to play a game. Restart, select Windows partition in Grub. The Toshiba logo comes up, as usual, but it doesn't boot into Windows. The scrolling wheel just keeps turning. I go to BIOS, and try enabling secure boot, to see if I can boot Windows like that. Same problem. Go to BIOS a second time, change the boot type to CSM instead of UEFI, to see if that will help. It comes up as a black screen "Failed to load media". I switch it back to UEFI and disable Secure Boot. Now all of a sudden, Grub doesn't come up, it just goes straight to loading Windows, but same problem. I ran Boot Repair from a live USB, didn't work.
I am able to use Ubuntu now, but only by pressing F12 and selecting it. Windows still won't boot. I made a recovery USB, and I tried to refresh my pc but it said drive was locked. I don't know what to do.
Here's my Boot Info: Ubuntu Pastebin

I have a Toshiba Satellite.

Thanks.

My exposure to Ubuntu is fairly limited, but if you have a Windows Recovery Drive, can you get into the Recovery Options? If so, are you getting to the page with options for Startup items and Startup Repair? If you are, have you tried the Startup Repair.

I couldn't get much out of your link, but I was wondering when you were running that repair if you have an option to set which file was used to boot. If you are, point it to the EFI/Boot/Bootx64.efi

I also notice the shimx64 is being used. Perhaps it is used with Grub, but the last time I saw that was with 12.02 or whatever. I believe 13.04 and later no longer need it.

Maybe some comments on the boot options could save you some trouble. The CSM being enabled allows for UEFI installs which are not Secure Boot capable. Both Windows 8 and Ubuntu can boot using the CSM disabled or enabled option. So enabling the CSM won't hurt anything, but changing the boot so UEFI devices will not be recognized, will.

I try to avoid using Grub because of situations like yours. I prefer to use the boot device menu to pick the boot device during startup.

Seems Grub is loading the correct boot files... the problem stems from a corrupt filesystem containing winload.exe on the sda4 partition - you may wanna try chkdsk /r to repair the filesystem.

Make sure you are checking the correct drive - it shouldn't be mounted AFAIK...

chkdsk [drive]: /f /r /x

Depends where you installed Windows..

Run DISKPART in cmd prompt, Then LIST Volume to see drives.

I went ahead and installed 14.04 in UEFI mode on the same drive to see if I could tell the difference. Maybe you will see something, but I do notice in Sda4, I show /bootmgr where you do not.

Below are the firmware listings in the Windows BCD Store, and the link to the Boot-repair file. I ran it from within Ubuntu so it may look a little different from yours.

Thanks guys, using "chkdsk c: /r" I was able to get Windows running. However, the Windows Boot Manager seems to be overriding Grub. Anyway to fix that?

I just normally re-instal Grub with apt-get - however i'm on legacy, not sure how efi will be affected chainloading Windows...

BTW: Mark this thread as solved to help others with their search - your troubleshooting report is a great help sorting things out - I'm sure others could learn from that - so many post their problem without providing sufficient info to work with.
