Taskbar corrupted popup

I have a strange issue in my windows taskbar. When I hover an item in my taskbar, the small window that pops up seems to be corrupt and some icons like "unpin this program from the taskbar" are much bigger than they should.

I've been searching for a solution but I have not even found any posts or references to this bug. Is it just me? Any ideas?

I can't say i have seen this issue before... are you using a 3rd party theme or a standard Windows 8 theme?

I'm using Fences and Start8 both from Stardock but I've already tried to disable them both and I still have the problem.

I can't say for certain but i suspect that may be related

You could try checking/repairing the system files, try METHOD 2 from this guide - http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/3047-sfc-scannow-command-run-windows-8-a.html

I've already done that with both methods actually.
No viruses either ...

Try uninstalling both, one at a time to see if either is the cause. Sometimes just disabling doesn't work.

Hi,

I had the same problem and found solution on this forum. Windows update KB3072318 distorts the taskbar context menu. Just uninstall it then everything's back to the normal.
