Items under "Device and Printers"

When I go to my "Device and Printers" it says under "Multimedia Devices" Blu-ray Disc Player. What is that for because I put a bluray disc in my drive but nothing happens. I was just wondering what is is there for if it doesn't play blu rays.

Hi Heather and welcome to the forum! When you say nothing happens do you mean it doesn't auto-start? Auto-start could be turned off. Does it show up in This PC?
