Interface locking up, sounds looping and forced to reboot

    Hey,

Well this has got me, it's been happening for a few days, nothing changed or what not. Basically the taskbar just freezes, however when you click on the buttons they still work, it spreads until the whole interface no longer works, things like windows media center and games lock up and forced to reboot. Nothing using up the cpu in task manager etc and I can't see anything in event viewer (although not 100% sure where i'd look)

Any ideas? It happens completely randomly, cant seem to replicate it and im doing different things each times it happens!

    Regards,
    Tom

    Ill have a video soon!

    Try sfc /scannow & Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in administrator command prompts.

All done, no issues found with SFC and the component store corruption was repaired (If there was one!) I'm uploading a video to youtube at the moment which shows what happens! Its not happened since opening this thread though, its very strange.

Acer Aspire 7520 laptop. It's happened to me before, and it has righted itself somehow. It is said that the GFX processor overheats and becomes partly unsoldered due to a poor choice of solder alloy BGA in the original manufacture of the 7000m, and needs reballing or reflowing to fix the chip...
