Solved Help with Ultra Fast Boot problem?

So I went to windows 8 about 4 days ago solely for the purpose of having a fast boot (and DX11.1)
But once I finished the install and installed the essential software I needed, I went into my boss and set Ultra Fast Boot. Once I booted, it gave me this error "THE VBIOS of your discrete VGA card does not support UEFI GOP, so it can not support "Ultra Fast Boot" and "CSM Disable" "

I think it is talking about my GPU which is a GTX 680 ASUS DCUII OC. But I am unsure of the rest of it. I was really keen on getting a super fast boot with my system. For some reason it takes 30 seconds to boot even with an SSD. My friend has the same SSD and mobo but his rig boots in 10 seconds with win7. Mine takes 30 :c. My BIOS splash screen hangs for 15 seconds. I have tried many ways including disabling the splash screen and making the timer for it shorter. Nothing seemed to have done anything. :c so I was hoping Ultra Fast Boot could help me. Thanks in advanced for any help! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I am currently on Win 7. And am keen on moving to windows 8 in about a 2-3 weeks from now. and I just joined the forums, so Hi! :D

Hello Mr Pariah, and welcome to Eight Forums.

To be able to use the "Ultra Fast Boot" option in your UEFI firmware settings, your graphics card must also support Fast Boot UEFI GOP.

I see that you could use NVFlash and a modified BIOS to flash your graphics card's GOP BIOS with at the link below to have it support "Ultra Fast Boot".

Be sure this is what you really want to do though. One mistake while following the steps at this link, and you could turn your graphics card into a brick that will never work again.
