Solved Windows 8.1 boot up suddenly longer

I have a Lenovo y50 and it used to boot in 12 seconds, but recently started to take over 30 seconds to boot. I've had this laptop for around a week now. It happened ever since I reinstalled my nvidia driver. Im not sure if its just a coincidence that it happened at the time I reinstalled it. I made sure all traces of the driver were gone before reinstalling it. The loading circle in the beginning of the boot used to move smoothly but now it visibly lags and moves slowly. I've tried the "Clean up my PC" option and it still has the problem. Here is the event log:Link

Edit:
Alright seems like i fixed the problem. I disabled fast boot and shut off the computer and then turned it on again(not restart). Then I enabled fast boot and now it boots at the time it did before. Very strange lol. Now it boots even faster, in around 10 seconds as opposed to 12, but its probably because of all the tips I was using to lower boot time that wasn't really solving the main issue lol.

Edit2:
Alright the fix from before only worked the first couple of boots and it just went to taking a long time to boot again. I recently revisited the problem and found out it was the hiberfil.sys that was somehow causing the problem. By turning it off and back on again in cmd, it would boot fast again, but only for the first or first couple boots. So i wrote a batch script to automatically reset the hiberfil and used task scheduler to run it when I log in. Works like a charm

What problem prompted you to reinstall the driver after only having the laptop for a week? The current driver for this card is 337.88 issued May 26, 2014. Is this what you have.

I thought it was underperforming haha. but yes it's currently on 337.88, the laptop came with the previous version so I updated it and a couple days after having it on 337.88 I reinstalled it. I've tried reinstalling it again to see if it would fix the problem but it hasn't.

Leave the 337.88 there, I don't believe that it is the problem.

How have you set your power options and is Fast Boot still enabled?

Third party software have a tendency to install all kind of unnecessary services and the same for NVIDIA. I have the same drivers installed as yours and I always reset the Startup type to Manual instead of Automatic in the Services as shown in the screen shot so that they wont start at Bootup. In addition NVIDIA has another program set running at Startup (ie. NVIDIA Geforce Experience Backend) , I also disabled it. By setting the Startup type to Manual, You will not break anything, in the screen shot, you see that NVIDIA Display Driver service is running, it is because I've just opened the NVIDA Control panel and the service is kicked off running.
Of course, If you have less processes running at Startup then the delay will be shortened.

EDIT: Another helpful registry tweak to reduce startup delay time is:

I took all your suggestions but havent noticed any difference. Do you think the problem could be a virus thats starting while booting? I think the problem has something to do with the loading circle laging at boot. It jitters and goes a lot slower than normal. It never did this before when it booted in 12 seconds. Fast boot is enabled. I tried scannow in cmd as well. I always disable any start up processes from new programs i install.

The same here but don't forget you are running Windows on Desktop and OP is running on Laptop so eliminating all the unneccessary services might help. In addition, even we all have NVIDIA video cards but not all the features are supported equally, especially in the Laptop.

Run a full virus scan with Windows Defender or any other 3rd party AV program you have and download and run Malwarebytes (Free) to be sure.

Okay I just noticed that when I restart as opposed to shutting the computer down and turning it back on, the loading screen doesnt lag. I think it still takes longer than usual when I restart though im not sure i havent tested how long restarts took before. Ive attached a boot log, but keep in mind it recorded from a restart and not from manually shutting the computer down and starting it back up so it may not show the problem?

Okay I noticed something weird. I disabled fast startup and now when I start my computer it starts in about 20 seconds and the loading circle doesnt visibly lag at all. I think there is some sort of problem with fast start up. Also, shutting down is a lot faster when its disabled, but I think that as normal correct?

Strange indeed, possibly some configuration garbage that Fast Boot kept and cleared out when you deactivated and reactivated it again. However as long as it works now is what matters.

So I found that this problem may occur after making changes to msconfig. I just checked "No GUI Image" in msconfig and the same problem happened with the boot lagging and taking a lot longer. The same trick still fixes it. I think its just some sort of bug.
