Solved Changing the Start Menu Tile Size

Hey guys,

Was just wondering, is its possible to change the Tile size for the Start Menu? My tiles by default are pretty small, I can stack up 6 tiles in each "group". I've seen videos and screenshots where people have their tiles much larger, they can stack up to 3 and in general I think larger tiles make the Metro UI look much better. So anyone have ideas on how to do this?

The only way I know is, right click on the tile and you'll see an option to make it larger or smaller, depends on what size they are when right clicking. Not all tiles seem to have the same options though, dont know why that is.

Reducing your resolution makes the tiles bigger.

At 1280x768 & 1280x800, you get 4 tiles in a column.
At 1280x960, you get 5 tiles in a column.
At 1280x1024, you get 6 tiles in a column.

Thanks for your help BillWindows but I'm not talking about that, it doesn't change the tile height, only expands the tile.

@abhijitrucks, the resolution changes the desktop along with tile size, I only want the Tiles becoming larger.

Anyone else kow what to do? BTW I don't mind editing files like .dll as long as it can get this to work :p

You can also change the DPI.

Try this:

1) Go to the Metro Control Panel.

2) Select Ease of Access.

3) Switch on Make Everything on your Screen Bigger.
