error: You dont have permission to save in this location.

I cannot save into any Adobe Captivate 7 x64 \ Gallery folders:

Read only is selected in the properties.

When I remove read only and select apply it doesn't stay removed. The black square returns.

If you only have one user account on the system you can use the Take Ownership shell extension to take ownership of the Program Files folder tree:

or run the saving program as administrator.

I tried to run PP (saving program) as administrator first...THIS WORKED! - Thank you!!

...but, I am the only user of this computer and named as the administrator:
    1. What change could have happened to create this "problem" from one day to the next?
    2. What change can I make so that my programs always "run as administrator"?

Thanks again for your great advice!

I don't know why the program acted differently. Unless you changed a setting it wrote to its configuration. Programs that keep settings in an .ini file I usually install or make a folder in a folder I make under c: called Utils. I add it to the path. Then writing in the program folder doesn't have the permission problem.

You could enable the hidden Administrator account but it's generally not a good idea unless there's a need such as adding more users etc.. The true Admin account can even delete core system files. But if you want to enable it there's a tutorial in the Tutorials area in User Accounts.
