Either way WCP is more than just a love/hate of metro. Anyone else think we should just get on with the other aspects?

Metro suddenly becomes a lot more interesting on dual screens. Personally, as someone who was in the "really could live without it" camp, (although I wouldn't say I hate it) its grown on me immensely.

I always said, you can't judge it until we actually get some (useful) metro apps, and actually I find myself using metro more than the desktop since WCP

As for moving on, I don't see why it would get in the way of what you want to do... at the end of the day, I can't remember the last time I used the traditional start menu for anything other than search, the old Win 7 functionality is all still there.

It metro design, you have to actually USE it like it. You can't look at it and call it useless. You have to examine as much as possible. After some time, it grows on you and using the start menu just doesn't cut it anymore.

Im not calling it useless. I use it (and like it). There are just so many other things to explore and talk about other than it.

Metro is only a part of the whole OS, people who like it could carry on using it and others can easily stay with the normal desktop environment. I don't mind the offer of an additional alternative method to operate the OS, we have to move on and get used to this very nice OS, IMO.

I think the we are discussing it so much is because that's the most obvious part of the change. I'm actually happy they incorporated touch just that their execution to me personally could have been better. One thing that I can feel (although not sure if it really is true) that I like already is that it seems faster possibly using less memory or resources. If they can make it use even less memory/resources and start up faster then that would be better. That's one of the other things I can notice personally. I know of some others like copying and task manager and all that but those things aren't really that interesting of a change for me.
