Hi everyone,

My friend has a new asus laptop and while he was updating his new GeForce driver the laptop just blacked out. The screen was on, but only showing black pixels. We tried a monitor but that did the same thing and the problem did not solve itself after hard resetting the system.

Im dutch so dont mind my english.

Does anyone have any idea whats goig on and maybe how to solve it. Sorry for the lack of info but we just got no idea what happened

Oh yeah and one more thing: When he pushes the on/off button its supposed to go sleep mode but it just completely shuts down in an instant.

Oh and we discovered one more thing: The light indicators for wifi and capslock etc. still work. Capslock only shuts itself off after turning on, strainge...

Cheers, Sebas

Alright, so my friend and i put a usb drive into my laptop and turned it into a recovery drive. Once we plugged it into his laptop it booted like it had to. Everything was back to normal and it even installed the driver. So odd. Especially because we tried it about 5 minutes before and it would'nt work.
