I can not find an excel file I created a few weeks back. Is there anyway to do search so that all excel files are displayed? thanks in advance

Hi Nzgreenfox, welcome to the Eight Forums.

Type ext:xls* to File Explorer search field, this will search all files with file extension starting with xls (xls, xlsx and so on), Excel files.

Hi i am not trying to be smug, but i find using the windows help search extremely fast and reliable.
If you had just entered windows 8 file search in the help box you would have gotten your answers.
Just trying to pass on what i have found beneficial in 30+ years of using these things!
