Yeah, hear me out dudes. I tried the original 8 DP release and hated it. Deleted in 10 minutes. I now have Consumer Preview. I originally hated Metro more than ANY of you - even the SW dude.
It really is faster than the old start menu. The trick is only to put a small amount of items on it and use Rocket Dock for the rest.
In my Rocket Dock, I have all major apps and then also a folder with tons of minor apps. It all works lovely now and like I said, things are definitely faster here than no Metro.
I leave you with 2 screenshots to give you an idea of what I mean with all this:
I initially thought MS was crazy but if you delete ALL the included Metro apps, do NOT use ANY Metro apps and copy or set similar to how I do - it IS faster than legacy Start menu.
