Windows 8.1 , Dragging Windowed Application Problem

in summary, the window and cursor shifts position when the maximized window is demaximized then moved towards the left then right.This applies to the right then left aswell.

Any suggestions?

Do you have those black bars (space) above and below your desktop window on your monitor as shown in the video? If yes it looks like you have the wrong screen resolution set?

no the recording software I use was really bad.

I am running the native resolution of 2560 x 1440. I have two monitors so is actually 5120 x 1440

This problem also occurs on my laptop. Did you try recreating the problem by doing what I am doing?

OK, that's what I thought but wanted to make sure. I can drag a Window over to the edge and my cursor stays put. It moves slightly if I keep banging that window against the side of my monitor but it never gets to where its outside of that windows title bar. If I release the mouse button it just snaps to half screen on that monitor. I run there monitors on this PC.

This problem occurs ONLY when a maximized window is demaximized by dragging down on the title bar and moving to the left, hitting the edge, and then moving right. (or to the right edge then left)

I don't have any issue of moving a regular, NON MAXIMIZED, window to the left edge or the right edge. It only happens in the case I mentioned above.

Right now I disabled contents while dragging because this problem is really irritating. Tomorrow, I'm going to see if my school computers has this issue...

I can reproduce it on my desktop just as you say. The minimized window disappears off screen to the left. When I move my cursor back to the right its still linked to the minimized Window but they are separated by a couple of inches. I have no idea what is causing it though. If I try it going to the right side my cursor stays put against the edge of the screen and the minimized window jumps to the left a couple of inches. Weird? Like you say it only happens when you move a maximized Window. If I release the mouse and then move the already minimized window it doesn't do it any more. I'm running Windows 8.1 with Update 1 64 bit.

Is it possible to somehow make microsoft notice this glitch?

I don't know why but it really bugs me having this glitch.

Depends on how many people it affects? I had to work at it to even notice it was there. I don't normally mouse all the way to the side of the screen when snapping open windows. or moving a window from screen to screen.
