In this path C:\Users\User keeps appearing a file called agent.
As I saw it is a log file. Any ideas what it is and what is creating it?
I delete it each time and keeps appearing.
Thanks in advance

I don't have any strange application or anything that makes this happen. I searched the web and found nothing. I used my antivirus and the malware but it is clean...

This is what looks like

If you open it up using a text editor such as Notepad you may get an idea which program is creating and using it. It presents no danger to your system. It is a tool for whatever program, Mcafee AV as an example, for troubleshooting in the event of a failure.

Whatever program that created it would only put info if there was a failure of said program. No info, no failure.

I get that.. So No need to worry then..

The strange is that I don't know which program. If there is a failure in the specific program I will find out what creates it then!

Ugh, sorry, didn't see it in the first picture. Seems like an empty text file. You can change it's extension to .bak and see if something complains about missing it, if not, after some time you can just delete it.

I have already done this. I delete it and it keeps appearing again. It is an empty file.. That is why is so strange!

As it can be anything, all you can do is to delete it and start some suspected program and see if it shows up again.

It's a classified scan log and if you use Norton, for example, it may not let you delete it or it reappears. If so, there may be a setting to delete logs.

So it nothing to worry about?

Do you have any idea what program is creating it?

Where is the command/setting to delete logs?

Itself can't be a trojan, it just might be result of one.
