How to make "View" the default Ribbon Tab?

Hi, Windows 8.1 x64 here. When I open "My Documents" or "My Music" or any Explorer Windows, the default Ribbon Tab is "Home". Well, I don't use any of the buttons in that tab, and I'd like to make the "View" Tab the default, so each time I open Windows Explorer, it's in the "View" Tab. Hope I can do it...

    Many thanks!

You could do it using a mouse click and AutoHotkey.

    See the help for #IfWinActive
the class names for Explorer folder windows are
    CabinetWClass and ExploreWClass.

You can group them together to do one test as in
    Code:
    Sendmode, Input
    GroupAdd ExplorerGroup ahk_class CabinetWClass
    GroupAdd ExplorerGroup ahk_class ExploreWClass

    #IfWinActive ahk_group ExplorerGroup
    MouseGetPos,X,Y ; save mouse cursor
Click,25,40 ; experiment to get the x and y relative to the window frame
; it shouldn't vary all that much with the screen res.
MouseMove,%X%,%Y% ; put mouse cursor back
    return
Ask for help on the forum to fix it up a bit. You don't want the clicking to be constant. You'll have to figure out how to tell if you've already adjusted that particular window etc..

AutoHotkey is free. Plenty of help on its forums.

Thanks for the help, but I don't understand what is that you posted, xD. What is a script. I know they have something to do with a program that does certain things, but I'm a rookie.

I've installed AutoHotKey, but I don't know how it's gonna help with my problem :S

Post the script I wrote on the Autohotkey forum here:
    Support - AutoHotkey Community

and explain what you are trying to do. You only want the mouse to click on "View" the first time an Explorer folder opens(once for each different folder etc..) Just say you are new to scripting. They will help you get started. It's a bit of work but the good thing is you will be able to make Windows do a lot of stuff without buying 3rd party programs.

Edit: Most Autohotkey scripts like this one sit in the system tray and watch the windows as they get focus. When a new window becomes active(has the keyboard focus) it checks if it fits the criteria(the #IfWinActive statement.) If it does, any hotkey defined there will be live. Also statements can run. Say you only want control t to swap characters in Notepad, you can use #IfWinActive to only have that hotkey live when Notepad has the focus. That's the most common usage for ahk. To selectively enable hotkeys and have them do what you ant when pressed.

Edit2: In this case the idea is, every time an Explorer folder opens, check to see if this is the first time for that folder, if so click the mouse on "View" to make it the default by using a mouse macro(the click.) Sometimes there's no other good way to force Windows to do what you want but to feed it clicks and keystrokes.

    Thank you very much.

It's harder than I thought. As it's going to take some time for me, I'll do it a little later. But hope this solve it. I'll post here the results when I'm done.

Am I gonna notice any movement of the mouse each time I open a window? Or those scripts run faster than my eyes?
