Mouse Stuck between Multiple Monitors in Windows 8.1

  1. #31

I just bought a new mouse and there's absolutely no sticking or any hesitation from one monitor to another, not a hint of a problem, old one had just a bit of hesitation.

Maybe try aligning the screens in the resolution window like the setup in real life. You can drag the screens aroundClick image for larger version

You can drag them around just from box to box, not within them. If you switch boxes mouse will have to wrap around wrong way. In any case, settings in driver control panel will take precedence to windows one. My are completely opposite one from the other, even to the point of which connector on the GPU is primary and which is secondary.

The issue occurs no matter where I cross, and does not appear to be related to the metro charms or multitasking.

My desktop just recently installed the Windows 8.1 Update (Pro 64-bit), and since then I have had this problem off and on. I do not know what causes it to happen. I have two monitors, side by side. A 1050x1680 monitor on the left, with a 1920x1080 monitor on the right. The top edges of these monitors are aligned.

This phenomenon is incredibly annoying, so any methods of stopping this would be much appreciated. I'd also be interested to know how and why this happens.

Goto "PC Settings", click "PC and Devices", then click "Corners and Edges". Turn "When I swipe in from the left edge, switch between my recent apps instead of showing a list of them" OFF!
I found this worked for me, and never got the problem again
