    Save Windows 8.1 start screen

    Hello All

I'd like to install windows 8.1 on my laptop.
Is there a way to export (file/registry) the start menu so I won't have to create all of the shortcuts and tiles order on my laptop?

    Thank you

If you are signing in to your current computer with a Microsoft account, all you need to do is sign in that account to your laptop and your Start screen layout with be synced to your laptop. To make sure this will happen, on your current computer, go to PC settings, click OneDrive and then click Sync Settings. Under Personalization settings, make sure that Start Screen is ticked on.

Classic Start, Start8 and a few others. Of course with 8.1.1, you can just choose to go directly into Desktop mode and skip Metro all together. You will not have the conventional All Programs, like you do with the third party options.

The next update later this year, is supposed to bring back the old All Programs and allow you to run Metro apps inside on the right part of the pull up.
