Cant change function key

I have an asus laptop with windows 8.1 and am trying to reverse the function key but when I get into the BIOS area I can find no way to change it there. Is there another method with asus or windows 8.1? please help my girlfriend is really getting ticked off at the new computer.

I have a K75DE. I haven't seen any way to toggle it. As far as I know its the ATK utility that handles the special function keys. I haven't seen any link to it in control panel etc so there may not be any changeable settings in it.

Try searching for an exe under program files and program files (x86)

I could not find any setting for my toshiba. I just searched the entire disk for Toshiba and found a folder under Program Files and in the folder was an exe. No documentation. But it toggled the Fn key.

i tried running that hr control but it stopped after asking me if I wanted to make a change. it just wouldn't go any further.

It may be worth running a scan with MBAM

Have you tried the manufacturer forums? Usually for brand specific programs that's where you find out first.
