Graphic boot menu is lost ;(

    Hello,
it seems that after making some edits by EasyBCD I lost existing white/blue boot menu which appeared shortly before logon screen. Now appears text menu only instantly after boot, which however doesn't offer all menu options (UEFI USB, UEFI optical, UEFI network missing) and moreover the secondary boot options seems broken (lead to text screen with some error message). I would appreciate a solution how to repair/fix that to previous state. Also please for suggestion for a more compatible BCD management tool (as EasyBCD seems no more fully support Windows booting config)

    Hello Anakunda,

You might see if this may be able to help to enable the newer Windows 8 boot startup options screen.

Startup Options - Enable or Disable in Windows 8

    Hope this helps for now,
    Shawn

Thanks, I've fixed the problem already. Do you know a convenient tool for easy adding/managing bootable systems into BCD that doesn't screw up with Win8 bootmgr? Bcdedit looks to complicated to get familiar with.

    Great news.

I usually just use the command line with bcdedit, but the free version of the EasyBCD program is one of the best to use. You can just click on "Download" at the link since you don't have to register to download it.

I'm afraid EasyBCD did it's job fine on Win7 but not so on Windows 8.1. As I wrote it replaced my late GUI menu by early text mode menu with few options only. I tried to add many various systems using EasyBcd from Bootmgr-based partitions through Linux grub to bootable ISO but seriously all of them ended by error screen. Is there a more compatible/more effective front-end to bcdedit? If not I'd appreciate a good guide for configuring boot menu by bcdedit properly.
