Drive shows "This folder is empty"

I had asked earlier about removing driver shortcut. well, one of the drives seemed to be affected to the point of it showing "This folder is empty" whilst it shows that it has stuff in it. a snip of the above is as below.

You are looking in a New Volume folder on a New Volume partition. Can you back out of the folder and see what is on the entire partition?

nope. I am not able to view what is in the folders.

Do you have 'Show hidden files, folders and drives' enabled?
(Did you happen to format that partition in some way as it has the default 'New Volume' label?
