You have 2 threads with the same question - you should close one - I replied to one and Count Mike to the other
In any case I had this virus (in fact I get it every time I go to my local internet café to print something) and cleaning it is pretty easy. In fact now I don't even bother - I just immediately reformat my USB key. Please put a screen print of the properties of the shortcut just to confirm.
Assuming it is the same ituneshelper.vbs virus you need to:
Stop the wscript.exe process.
Delete ituneshelper.vbs from system32
go to command prompt and enter
attrib -h -r -s /s /d x:\*.* (where x the drive letter of your usb)
Delete all the shortcuts and any vbs scripts from the usb
copy the contents to your PC
reformat your usb and copy the data back.
As this happens so often to me I have a USB solely for using outside my house. Defender stops your PC getting infected (and therefore propagating it) but it can't stop your USB key getting corrupted on someone else's PC.
