Where is the equivalent to Start/Search

I am still trying to find out how to search for things. The new search facility (Win+F) never finds anything and e.g. shell:startup is being completely ignored. Cannot be true that I have to go to C:\Users\whs\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs in order to find my startup folder

Just hit Windows key and start typing.

Or mouse-over either corner on the right and select the 'Search' charm

All Programs: Windows Key, right-click, All Programs

As It has been said, don't do Win+F, just do Win and shell:startup works there.

"shell:startup" isn't an app. So yeah, no apps match your search. What are you trying to do??

It doesn't matter, just press enter. It will work. (It will open your startup folder)

    ^ +1.

Could also right click in the farthest left hand corner to that small menu - Run - enter shell:startup. That will open it up also. Earlier mentioned method is faster though.

OK, got it. Apparently the message you get does not mean much. Thanks everybody.

Btw, The Win+R still works for the Run box.

You know you can also just open the Task Manager, and click the "Startup" tab, right?

I had seen that. But it was not only the startup shell I was after. Needed to find out how to run shell commands in general - e.g. shell:cookies, shell:system, etc.
