Why do you feel you need to do that? Just curious. I've never ever used those features in Win7, and don't see any need to use them in Win8.

That is the second time you are trying to tell me what's good for me.

Rest assured that I know what I am doing. I have written programs when you were no even born yet - in 1958. And I have managed with several dozen operating systems on all sorts of architectures.

But if you want to know exactly what I am doing with the shell commands, I will be glad to give a tutorial.

No, I'm not doing that at all. I'm ASKING YOU A QUESTION BECAUSE I'M CURIOUS. I'm not telling you anything. I'm ASKING.

I don't want a tutorial. I'm just asking what it is that you're doing that these little-known hidden features are so important to you? I've asked you half a dozen times now, and you haven't been able to offer even one single use-case or example. That's curious to me.

I am teaching advanced computer classes. And there I explore all the system facilities. Apart from that, as an old system programmer I like to use those functions. E.g. shell:system is the easiest way to get into the system32 folder. But there are other ways, only less convenient.

And btw, you have not asked half a dozen times. You had only made 2 postings in my neighborhood.
