Windows Shell common DLL has stopped responding

Hi everybody,

There's no sound from the speakers nor is my microphone working.
All the drivers are up to date and windows said the devices are working properly.
When I go to the playback settings and all, I get the "Windows Shell common DLL has stopped responding" message.
Can anyone help me please? I'm not so good with computers.
