    How to move from one SSD to a new one with less hassle?

    Im currently running windows 8 and have a smaller ssd drive...i would like to get a new one and wondered what the best way to backup current so i can just restore to new one and make the transition easy?

    Hello there reno and welcome to eightforums.
    The easiest way i do it,is via AOMEI Backupper,choose disk or partition clone,source and destination,give it about five minutes,select booting from new installed-cloned disk from BIOS,a walk in the park.Let us know how it went...

    Clonezilla is another way to do it. Just go to and download tuxboot. Then set it to create a Clonezilla image on a USB. Stick in the USB stick, copy the drive over to a NAS with a NFS folder or onto a USB pocket drive. Then when you put back in the new drive. You reverse the process and restore the image to the new drive.

    When windows boots up. It will take a bit due to different hardware for the drive.
