Removing low disk space warning- registry edits don't work

I think that I tried all of the edits suggested on this forum:
    HKLMSOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Search\Gathering Manager\BackOffLowDiskThresholdMB = 0x00

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Search\Gather\LowDiskMinimumMBytes = 0x00

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\NoLowDiskSpaceChecks = x01

Did I miss one? I have 12 volumes in the system, if that matters. Thanks.

Not sure if you mistyped but I think the third should be -

    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoLowDiskSpaceChecks = x01

I haven't tried any of these myself I would add.

    Yep, a typo - should be 0x01

\Explorer\ should be included in the line, that is what I meant. This is what works in Win 7 if I recall.

Thanks, I missed that! Yes, I added the value to the parent key instead. I'll see whether the correction helps.

If that doesn't work then try also equivalent key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. That might work but MS seems to be intent on thwarting all attempts to modify the way they want things to work.

None of the above worked. The last thing that I tried was editing HKLM.

Can't help any more I'm afraid - if a solution exists it will eventually appear though.

The following (free) appears to have this option - no idea if it will work though but says it is compatible with 8 and 8.1.

    Hi there
WHY ON EARTH would you want to even THINK of touching the registry for such a trivial thing as LOW DISK SPCE. -- These days when you can get a 1TB HDD for around 30 USD why would you even consider worrying about low disk space.

In todays world a new 1TB drive probably costs you about the same as a few days on your monthly smart phone contract or Internet costs.

    Cheers
