I'm sooo tired of seeing "bad' in conjunction with Vista, there's nothing at all wrong with it and I wish people would just stop already.

Vista in it's original form was bad... It couldn't even install on masses of machines with more than capable hardware. If you have to remove hardware, change monitors, and specially configure a BIOS just for an installer they screwed up big time. Of course much of this was fixed with SP1 from what I have heard.

I dont see how you can say XP is "Now Bad". Its still preferred in business over Vista even with 2 Service Packs out.

XP was good (I would hope this is obvious), and as much as I like Vista, it just wasn't quite right for me until SP1 hit. Overall, though, I'd give Vista a thumbs up.

Vista was the reason that I left windows for Linux almost 2 years ago. It may be that I didnt wait for sp1, but the driver support was horrible. I was a happy camper with Ubuntu from 7.04 through 9.10beta until I stumbled upon the SevenForums web site. I havent looked back and dont plan to.. The Moral of the story .... Vista was the reason I left windows .. Windows 7 was the reason I came back!

That's a much more comprehensive list :)

And a lot of people who say "Vista is so bad, I never want to use it" don't realise that Windows XP was alot worse at release than what Vista was. People also said the same things about XP, such as, "The hardware specifications are way too high" (Also makes you think how much computers has advanced since XP :p)

And don't say Windows XP is bad now. It's a good OS, just starting to age on now :)
