What Is This On My LED Screen?

I'm not sure if you guys will have a hard time seeing it, but I can see it in the picture still.

There is a dark vertical line going straight down my monitor to the towards the right. It can only be noticed on solid color. Its more like a slightly shadowed area towards the mid right of the screen. If you look very closely the right side of the screen seems slightly brighter only because that shadowed line area makes it appear that way.

Also worth mentioning its on my other monitor. Its the same exact monitor, but its on the left side instead. Is this normal in LED screens. Its not really a big annoyance since its not really visible its only on a solid color screen. I'm just curious as to what I'm seeing I recently purchased both and want to know if its anything to worry about?

I see just the LCD monitor. You are going to have to get a really good camera, that will allow you to Macro Zoom. So that you can show the defect.

Most times it is a bad GPU, bad drivers. Other times it is a bad cable between the monitor and GPU card/computer, or just a bad monitor period.

I do see Flash lighting, which is common with LCD's, due to how they are lit from around the edges.

I can see it viewing this image on my iphone, rather than a dark line, everything to the right of it is lighter/brighter. Either that or its a fair few inches wide. I have no idea what that could be as you said its on two monitors. Id conclude the video card? Have you tried a different cable? Or a different wall outlet for the power (just reaching here)

I used a camera with macro. Ill be honest I haven't really got into the detailed settings on what works better on light. I understand though everyones screen needs to have a high amount of brightness to see it.

I can see it viewing this image on my iphone, rather than a dark line, everything to the right of it is lighter/brighter. Either that or its a fair few inches wide. Yeah its not as big as you think. I'd say the dark area is about the size of the ruler. The area to the right you see well the lightness there isnt the problem...its soon as that part starts. One would think that because the whole rest of the screen left is the proper color, then its a gap of darkness, then back to regular color again.

I did some horrible photoshop work. The line isn't a fine edged line though its like a blurry shadow. Its also not that dark...Your eyes could get fatigue almost trying to see it. I think I drew the line slightly off, but it makes it easier to see the line I'm talking about its just a small bit to the left of it.

I'm actually using my laptop ports. The monitor shown is connected to the VGA port, and my other monitor is connected to HDMI. The laptop screen is off. You can kind of see it in the first pic. I doubt it would be the cables since I'm using two different types of cables/ports. Its just strange they get similar results except they are on different sides of the screen. The outlet I will try switching...I have lots of stuff plugged into the outlet of my home studio so it can be a possibility.

Maybe its the build of the monitors and the assembly is just pushed more against the back of the actual screen.

I haven't seen it on the laptop screen. That green screen is actually when Windows 8.1 is first logged into...at the metro tiles. Its a solid colored screen because the desktop tile wasn't clicked yet so the second monitor was never given a task to display anything. I'm not sure if metro can use more than one screen when the settings are to extend your display and not duplicate.

Anyway thanks no need to stress finding the answer. I really appreciate the help. I never mentioned these were refurbished. Its not even noticeable other than a solid color. I'm nitpicking lol. They're very fluent in color and sharp I'm not even disappointed. These things were $109 each on ebay. I had to lol.
