Hello, i've been using windows 8.1 for a little time in my new Sony notebook. First, i used windows 8 and had no problems, my keyboard layout was the correct one (Spanish - Latin América, 'cause i'm from argentina). But after an upgrade to windows 8.1, the default layout was set to Traditional Spanish wich does not suit the layout I see on my keyboard, signs are misplaced. I went to the control panel and under the idioms settings i set Latin American layout to my keyboard, but even with the correct configuration (checked with the layout image that is shown in the configuration menu), signs like ´ and @ are still misplaced. What can I do? It really piddle me when i try to write something and realise that it's not where it should be. Thanks in advance, and sorry for my bad English.

Thank you!

This is what I read:

There is a small change to the Control Panel in Windows 8 that involves splitting the Region and Language applet into two separate applets. This makes changing your keyboard layout a little more tricky than previous versions of Windows.

Ok, i could finally solve the mistery. Even though that the Latin American layout was selected, and Traditional Spanish was deleted, from all control panels, I had to press windows key + space, so a popup menu appears and there i could switch between layouts. Thanks for your help!!
