Solved How do I find and open Programs?

The only thing I can find is right clicking the start button and clicking programs, but all this does is bring up the uninstall screen, which has no option for simply opening programs. I need a start button like on Seven. Windows 8.1 is what I have

Davis, the Classic shell link did not open. Is this a download that makes 8.1 easier to find things.

Shawn, I still have no idea where to get to the Programs list other thant the uninstall list

don't right the start button left click it.
classic shell is a 3rd party program that will change win8 to act and look like win7,and the link works fine for me ,what browser are you using

I would suggest you follow Shawn’s suggestions with his tutorials to learn the new system and then decide otherwise. I feel you’ll never learn the real beauty of the system unless you try. It really is a great system.

Wow, that Classic Shell is just perfect. Exactly what I've been looking for these past two weeks with my new Windows 8.1 laptop. THANKS A LOT David Bailey! It is especially nice in combination with my external monitor using Actual Multiple Monitors.

I am referring to when you right click on the start button[not the link to classic ] and got Program uninstalls, left click the start button
