Yeah, that picture David Bailey put is what I want: the two items in red to be shown right in the main menu, below "New" or something like that, not in the "New" submenu.
I've tried that software but I can't do anything like this with it. Or I don't know how to use it, I gave it a try and didn't understand how to make possible this 2 features using it. I've tried also others, no luck. That's why I'm asking this in the forum.
I forgot point 4:
4. I've been able to create a shortcut to a program in the main manu. In .mkv files, in the right-click menu I've added a shorcut to mkvmerge, a .mkv editor. By default, VLC player opens .mkv files. Well, when I right-click a .mkv file and select the new option I added, the mkvmerge shortcut, a popup menu appears and asks me if I wanna set mkvmerge the default program to open .mkv files. I tick NO, and then I click to open, and mkvmerge opens it. So, it takes even more time open a .mkv using the new shortcut I added than use the "Open with..." option and click in "mkvmerge", WHICH opens the .mkv directly, without asking anything, and VLC still is the default program. So...
How can I add a shortcut to the right-click menu without it asks me everytime I click on it if I wanna make it default program? (Basically, I have in the main right-click menu "Play with VLC" and "Add to VLC playlist", and I wanna add there "Open with mkvmerge", without asking me if I wanna change the default program)
