Add "New Folder" and "New Text Document" in context menu

Hi, I'm using Windows 8.1 x64 and I'd like to add to the MAIN menu of context menu (just right-clicking) the options to create a New Folder and a New Text Document. Right now I have to go to the "New" option and then select Folder or Text Document.

    Thanks!

Thanks a lot. Now I have 3 questions:

    1. I've put a shortcut of "Notepad" in the right-click menu of the desktop, and it appears below "Paste" and "Paste shortcut". Nevertheless, when I'm in a folder, that option doesn't appear, neither "Personalize", "Screen res." and all that stuff. How can I put that option ALSO when I'm in a folder?

    2. I don't know how to add a "CREATE a folder", because what you posted is how to add shortcuts. I'd like to add a "New Folder" option below the shortcut of the Notepad I've just created.

    3. The same as point 2, but with CREATE a txt. What I've done is to add a shortcut of Notepad, but I wanna add an option to create a txt document directly.

    THANKS!

I can only show you the desktop right click menu & the Explorer menu:

That's the best I can do.

I'm not crazy about third party software but Context Menu Tuner from winaero.com is pretty resourceful for a standalone utility.

Yeah, that picture David Bailey put is what I want: the two items in red to be shown right in the main menu, below "New" or something like that, not in the "New" submenu.

I've tried that software but I can't do anything like this with it. Or I don't know how to use it, I gave it a try and didn't understand how to make possible this 2 features using it. I've tried also others, no luck. That's why I'm asking this in the forum.

    I forgot point 4:

    4. I've been able to create a shortcut to a program in the main manu. In .mkv files, in the right-click menu I've added a shorcut to mkvmerge, a .mkv editor. By default, VLC player opens .mkv files. Well, when I right-click a .mkv file and select the new option I added, the mkvmerge shortcut, a popup menu appears and asks me if I wanna set mkvmerge the default program to open .mkv files. I tick NO, and then I click to open, and mkvmerge opens it. So, it takes even more time open a .mkv using the new shortcut I added than use the "Open with..." option and click in "mkvmerge", WHICH opens the .mkv directly, without asking anything, and VLC still is the default program. So...

How can I add a shortcut to the right-click menu without it asks me everytime I click on it if I wanna make it default program? (Basically, I have in the main right-click menu "Play with VLC" and "Add to VLC playlist", and I wanna add there "Open with mkvmerge", without asking me if I wanna change the default program)

    Created with Context Menu Tuner.

(it's mildly tricky, if you fool around with it for a bit you'll get it!)

    Wow, nice dude!

For sure I didn't try thay one. I tried another with almost identical name, so I thought yours was the same I tried. Thanks a lot, been searching for this for a huge while.

    So I got almost everything:

    1. I'm still not able to create a txt, like when you go "New/Text Document". What I've added with the program is a shortcut. I need exactly that, but with the funcion of the "New/Text Document", I mean, create in the folder I am a text document.

    2. Now I've added mkvmerge to the right-click menu, but it's just another shortcut, so when I right click a .mkv file and click mkvmerge shortcut I added with this program, it just opens the program, without adding the .mkv I selected.

    1. Open 'Context Menu Tuner':

    2. Not sure what you're aiming for with the mkv thing. If you install VLC Media Player, you can set it to open mkv files by default.

    Hope this was helpful.
