Disable scrolling on start screen/make tiles smaller?

Is there any way to disable scrolling on the start screen or change the tile scaling by a small amount? I've got a 1680x1050 monitor and when there's 10 medium sized tiles across the screen, it activates the scroll bar, but there's no need for the scroll bar as all the tiles fit on the screen fine and scrolling only shifts them by a few pixels.

Google wasn't much help, all I found was tutorials on how to change the number of rows and a scaling tool that didn't work.

Something else then is causing the scroll bar, if the tiles are not. What is the make & model of the monitor? What is the make & model of the computer? What Video Chipset do you have in the computer?

Like I stated, something else is causing the scrolling on the Metro screen.

Is there anything I can do to solve it or work around the issue? Like disabling the scroll bar or making the tiles slightly smaller? I don't have another graphics card or 1680x1050 monitor.

I should also say that the tiles are organized into five groups, the amount of space in between each group brings the last column of tiles about 100 pixels from the edge of the screen. This seems to be enough to trigger the scroll bar, but it's not needed and is annoying as I've got a dark colour scheme and my mouse wheel has a tendency to slip into a notch at odd times.

Again, really cannot tell you with Metro, due to no one really uses it, unless it is on a tablet. You may want to contact Microsoft and Nvidia regarding this, or check the Nvidia forums, to see if others are having the same problem.

Drag the browser tiles to the programs group, that should do it.

I actually planned to have the three web browsers in the programs group, as well as some other of my commonly used programs. I was planning on calling the fifth group 'Other Programs', with it containing the small tiles that are currently under the desktop tile, but didn't fully set it up when I noticed the scrolling issue.

Hi. Is there anyway making the tiles size somewhat smaller? So that I can have it into many groups without taking so much space on the screen. Thanks in advance.
